Wedding and event valet parking: a planner's guide

How many attendants you need, how to handle the end-of-night rush, and how a $19 event pass keeps costs down.

Events are different from restaurants: everyone arrives within an hour and everyone leaves at once. Planning for the exit rush matters most.

How many attendants?

A common rule of thumb is one attendant per 25–30 cars expected per hour at peak, plus one runner at the stand. Long walks to the lot need more people.

Beat the end-of-night rush

  • Let guests request their car from the dance floor. Requests queue in order with live timers.
  • Put the podium QR sign at the exit so guests who missed the text can still find their ticket.
  • Watch the queue for red cards: requests waiting over five minutes are highlighted.
